Where Your Legal Needs Matter.

Joanne F. Crook

Since being admitted to the Alberta Law Society in 1993, Joanne has developed her practice in Aboriginal Law and currently works almost exclusively in that area. Specifically her areas of interest include First Nations governance, aboriginal and treaty rights, specific claims, sectoral self government agreements, child protection and employment matters. Joanne maintains her practice at the Calgary office but attends regularly to the Standoff and Lethbridge offices to meet with clients and attend at Lethbridge Provincial Court.

Joanne is currently a board member of the Calgary Drug Treatment Pilot Project and a Council member of the Bragg Creek Community Church. She has a special affinity for rural Alberta after being raised in a small community in southern Alberta and currently lives on an acreage southwest of Calgary.

Joanne has practiced exclusively with the Firm of Walsh Wilkins Creighton LLP and became a Partner in 1999. She was appointed as a member of the Firm’s management Committee in 2002 and is currently serves as Chair of that Committee.
