Kenneth R. McLeod

Ken works with a variety of individuals, businesses, First Nations and other organizations to assist them in resolving the legal problems that arise in their day to day business. With over twenty years’ experience, Ken helps clients find practical solutions in a range of areas, including commercial disputes, employer-employee relations, administration of justice issues, and differences with other parties over contracts, insurance and land.

After he completed law school at the University of Calgary in 1985, Ken began his legal career with the Firm and worked mainly as an advocate for clients in civil and criminal litigation. In 1995, he became the first Manager and Director of the Federal Prosecution Service in the newly opened Calgary Federal Department of Justice office. Ken returned to the Firm in 2002 where he continues to advise and advocate on behalf of his clients. Ken is a partner and member of the Firm’s Management Committee.

Prior to completing law school, Ken gained a wealth of experience through employment in a number of occupations. During his career, Ken has instructed law students, law enforcement officials and lawyers on legal issues and advocacy. He has also been active in volunteer work in the community through volunteer board, youth sports and community association activities.
